I have completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology which required me to engage in several years of research and comprehensive study and intensive supervision of clinical skills.

 

Professionally I have acquired a considerable amount of experience in working with people of all ages who experience a wide variety of psychological and emotional difficulties in both private and public services in the UK and New Zealand.

 

To keep my clinical skills current and to the highest standard, I regularly attend national and international conferences & courses.   

 

I am an approved ACC supplier (Southern Lakes Clinic Ltd) and ACC provider for Integrated Services for Sensitive Claims (ISSC) and Psychological Services.

 

I am trained and experienced in using a variety of psychotherapy models including:

 

• Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) including Trauma-Focused CBT

• Eye Movement Desensitising and Reprocessing (EMDR, Accredited Practitioner) 

• Brainspotting (Certified Practitioner) 

• Systemic and Family Therapy (including Attachment-Focused Family Therapy/Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy)

• Internal Family Systems (IFS) psychotherapy
